Sister Braids

I love braids. French, fishtail, dutch, twist, rope, waterfall, plain, double, ladder, plaited. I'm obsessed. Braids are simple and make you look like you actually took a while to fix your hair. Caroline payed me a visit this weekend and I had some fun trying out some braided hairstyles. 
1st braid is the double fishtail.

** With the help of a pencil and/or powder, you can fill in spaces and create the appearance of lusher brows. Im always filling my brows in with brown powder. If you’re brunette, they should be one shade lighter; if you’re blond, they should be one shade darker.

Red, White, and Blue summer look

My cute friend Bridgette took some pics of my summery outfit! Bright lips and soft eye make-up helps to bring focus to the bright colors of your outfit.  Wearing bright skinny jeans is so in this summer! Which color is for you? I suggest using the same tips you would for picking colored eyeliner – if you have brown eyes, opt for greens and oranges. Blue eyes, cobalt and yellow. Green eyes will stun in purple, lavender and pink.

Fresh Color for Summer

I've been a busy hairstylist getting my friends hair and lashes ready for summer! Its fun having my in home salon and doing lots of highlights and also some gorgeous brunettes! On the blondes I did a combination of a weave and a heavy slice and on the brunettes I did my favorite color ever 4N. I used Paul Mitchell the color of course:)

The Perfect Bun (Sock Bun)

Sometimes you will  find me with a big bun … on top of my head. The Sock bun is a more polished look to make your bun looking in tip top shape! Its incredibly easy to give yourself a plumper bun. 

 How to accomplish your lovely sock bun:

Step 1: Pull your hair into a high pony.

Step 2: Cut the toe off a sock and roll it into a donut-like shape. Slip it around your  hair.

Step 3: Tuck the ends of your hair under the fabric so it stays put.

Step 4: As if you were rolling your sleeves, roll your hair and the sock together down your ponytail.

Step 5: Tuck in any stray hairs, then spay on some hair spray to help hold the style.

Brilliant Bright Lips

Colors are fun! Don’t take it too seriously,  It’s just the makeup you can just wipe it off if you don’t like the results! From the runway to the streets, bold lips are popping up everywhere this season.

Heres some tips on how to wear your lipstick right:

  *Don’t attempt to match your outfit to your lips.

      *Choose a color that flatters your complexion.

  *Exert some confidence and own your look. 
   *Keep the rest of your makeup simple.
  * For more control when applying, use a brush.
